Sky Critter is my weather app for iPhone and Android, where a pixel critter reacts to the forecast. I designed and built its marketing site so people can see how the app feels before they download it.
The top of the page is a working sky. Pick a weather button and the sky changes color, the kitten switches to the matching sprite, and rain, snow, wind or stars start moving across the page. Temperatures show in Fahrenheit or Celsius depending on the visitor's region settings, with a toggle to switch.
Further down, a pixel-art iPhone drawn in CSS cycles through real screenshots from the app. The critters page shows all thirteen critters with their idle sprites and a short blurb for each, and another page takes requests for custom critters based on people's own pets.
I first built the page on mitmllc.com in June 2026 and moved it to its own domain, skycritter.app, in August.
