Where do I find my license key?
After purchase, you'll receive an email from Paddle with your license key. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. Still missing? Email whisperpadsupport@gmail.com with your order ID and we'll resend it.
How do I activate my license?
- Open WhisperPad Direct
- Click the menu bar icon → Settings
- Find the Subscription section
- Click "Enter / Update License Key"
- Paste your license key from the Paddle email
The app validates the key with Paddle and unlocks Pro features immediately.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Use the "Manage Subscription" link in any Paddle receipt email you received, or email whisperpadsupport@gmail.com and we'll help you cancel. Cancellation stops future renewals — you keep access through the end of your current paid period.
How do I get a refund?

How does the transcription work?
Press the keyboard shortcut to start recording. Speak. Press the shortcut again to stop. WhisperPad transcribes your audio locally on your Mac and types the result into the text field you currently have focused.
My transcription isn't working — what should I check?
- Confirm WhisperPad has Microphone and Accessibility permissions (System Settings → Privacy & Security)
- Check that a Whisper model has finished downloading (visible in the WhisperPad menu bar popover)
- Try switching to a smaller model size in Settings if your Mac has less than 16GB of RAM
- Restart WhisperPad
Voice transcription is slow on my Mac. Can I make it faster?
Switch to the Small model in Settings. It's faster than Medium and works well for everyday dictation. The Large v3 model is the most accurate but works best on Apple Silicon Macs with 16GB+ RAM.
Why didn't my license validate?
Most common reasons:
- The license server temporarily couldn't be reached. Your license stays active offline for up to 7 days; check your internet connection and try again.
- The license was refunded or canceled. Contact support if you believe this is incorrect.
- The license key was typed instead of pasted. Paddle keys are long alphanumeric strings — copy-paste from the email to avoid typos.
How do I report a bug?
Email whisperpadsupport@gmail.com with:
- What you were trying to do
- What you expected to happen
- What happened instead
- Your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac)
